Efrat Eizenberg is an associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, The Technion. She is the head of Urbanites – Human Habitat (Re)Development Research Group and the Academic chair of the Master program in Urban Engineering (MUE) at the Technion. Efrat served as the head of the Urban and Regional Planning program, the Technion (2021-2025). She was a visiting scholar at Utrecht university, The Netherlands (2019-2020).

Efrat has a PhD in environmental psychology from the Department of Environmental Psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 2008 and her Post Doctorate at the Planning for the Environment with Communities research lab (PECLAB), in the Department of Geography and Human Environment, Tel Aviv University in 2011.

Her research topics include urban diversity, social sustainability, residential experience, and planning with communities.
